Fei Jiang (Team Leader):

Fei is a current undergraduate at UC Irvine studying Biological Sciences and minoring in Management. She is the creator of HappySleep. Fei currently serves in several leadership roles including president of American Medical Student Association, UC Irvine Undergraduate chapter and team leader of a group in the Riordan Healthcare Management Program at UCLA. She has had various internship and work experiences including working as a intern at Washington Mutual, tutoring for local high schools, and interning as a Marketing & Business Development Intern at a software start-up company. Fei is very excited and interested in the creative and growing field of technology!


Praveen De Silva:

Praveen is currently working as a mechanical engineering consultant for Shape Medical Systems Inc. where he is in charge of designing and packaging a cardiopulmonary testing device. Previously Praveen worked as a summer intern at Rockwell Collins where he drafted several testing procedures for the companies work on the new Gulf Stream 6 airplane flight control system. Praveen has also interned with Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) for a year, where he helped design components that went into cataract surgery machine. As an intern, Praveen submitted a patent application through AMO for a foot pedal capturing device he designed. Praveen will be graduating in June of 2009 with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Mechanical and Material Science Engineering from the University of California, Irvine.

 
Kevin Hung:

Kevin is a current 4th year undergraduate at UC Irvine studying Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science Engineering. He has been actively participating in many projects on campus as well as gaining industrial experience in the Irvine area for 3 years since coming to UC Irvine. He has participated in team projects on campus such as Design/Build/Fly (DBF) and Formula Hybrid. Kevin's industrial experiences include Rockwell Collins, Cherry Aerospace and the Mac-Neal Schwendler Corporation. On-going research includes working in Swift Engineering with Dr. James Earthman from the material science department. Kevin is comfortable with creating engineering drawings and building the physical parts, bringing experience and dedication to HappySleep team.
